Educators Evaluate 'Flipped Classrooms'

Using video tutorials instead of actually teaching? I don't know if this would be a good idea or a horrible idea. I feel like students would pay more attention to an actual teacher more then a video. I thin if you are going to do the "flip classroom", you need to do both a lecture and a take home video, That would be the most beneficial for a student. Sometimes it is hard to pay attention in class but if you have a video to fall back on and review at home, it may increase grades. A video would also help a student learn because they would stop and rewind if they don't understand a problem clearly.
